Directions - Sherlock Adaptation - review of shoot. day two

DAY TWO
what went wrong-
My actors were once again late, this time by an hour. plus we had less time than expected. when my cast offered to act on a second day, I assumed that we'd attempt to start at the same time. we agreed on starting the shoot at 21:30 on this occasion. we didn't shoot everything we had planned to, thankfully though my cast offered their Saturday evening to another day of shooting.

I believe a trend that is becoming apparent is that I misjudged the amount of content I could shoot in the small number of hours available between 8/9 PM and when my actors start to become fatigued.
what went right-
the acting was again fantastic, so far in this project I have had no equipment malfunction or technical issues, this is something that is going right.
fixing-

to fix my major issue, that of needing more filming time, the shoot on Saturday must complete the shoot for this production. I'm going to expect my cast to be late again, so I'll use the time to set up equipment and checks.

the more major issue will be dealt with by simply scheduling more shooting time, a miscalculation has  put me behind. next time I'll be more careful.

I need to buy my cast a present, even though they've been late often, their acting has getting better by leaps and bounds as the shoot has progressed. plus their willingness to offer their availability, above and beyond what was requested of them astonishes me somewhat. I am deeply thankful to my cast at this time.
